Voices of Home CIC exists to benefit the public by delivering accessible, culturally rooted arts programs for asylum seekers, refugees, and Bristol’s diverse communities. The company uses creative engagement as a means to improve well-being, social inclusion, and community cohesion. Through workshops, exhibitions, and community-led projects, Voices of Home CIC provides safe and supportive spaces where individuals can express themselves, share experiences, and develop confidence and skills.
The company focuses on supporting individuals who may experience social isolation or barriers to participation, particularly those from underrepresented or displaced backgrounds. By celebrating cultural identity and amplifying marginalized voices, Voices of Home CIC strengthens connections between communities, promotes understanding, and enhances quality of life. All activities are carried out for the benefit of the community and not for private gain, ensuring a lasting positive social impact across Bristol.

These sessions invite kids and our community to capture their world on paper. Whether it's a quick charcoal sketch or a detailed pencil drawing, these workshops provide a safe space to improve artistic techniques while sharing personal stories and cultural perspectives.

Focused on the rhythmic and therapeutic nature of needlework, these workshops teach our community how to create and repair. Participants explore sewing and fabric arts to improve mental well-being and build a sense of accomplishment through tangible, handmade creations.

From basic stitches to complex patterns, these sessions bring kids and adults together to learn the art of crochet. By working with yarn, our community members develop patience and fine motor skills while creating warm, culturally inspired pieces for themselves or others.

These hands-on workshops allow kids and our community to work with 3D forms. Using clay and other materials, participants can "sculpt" their experiences, providing a powerful physical outlet for expression and a unique way to develop spatial confidence.

Designed to spark creativity using various materials, these workshops focus on the joy of making. Our community members learn diverse handcrafting techniques—from papercraft to recycled art—helping them develop creative problem-solving skills and a pride in their craftsmanship.

As a celebration of the work produced in our drawing, sewing, and sculpting sessions, we guide kids and our community in preparing their pieces for public display. This service builds the confidence to share one's voice with the wider Bristol public and promotes community cohesion.
